TRIMMING YOUR WICK. Your candle wick should be trimmed to 1/4″ every time you light your candle. This will ensure your candle burns evenly and remains safe from beginning to end. Trimming your wick helps to prevent carbon buildup or debris from falling into the candle. You may use a wick trimmer or pair of scissors to trim the wick.
KEEP WICK CENTERED. Gently guide the wick back in place after each burn to ensure frictionless fragrance throw. It also helps to prevent the candle from burning more on one side causing the glass to heat up too quickly.
ALLOW FULL MELT POOL. It is critical to allow your candle to burn for 3-4 hours on the first burn or until the wax has completely liquified to the edge of jar. Once the wax has reached full melt pool, you may extinguish the flame, trim the wick, and allow the wax to solidify before relighting.
Allowing the candle to reach a full melt pool prevents your candle from tunneling.
